About Me

crazygirl
The author of Bipolar 101 (book and blog) is Ruth C. White, PhD, MPH, MSW - a social work professor at the University of Southern California and a mental health activist who is touched by the fire and haunted by the darkness of bipolar disorder. I am using my profession and my life to promote mental well-being by fighting the stigma against people with brain disorders while educating myself and the world about mental health, with a focus on manic depression (aka bipolar disorder).
